This morning we would like to introduce a new monthly contributor - Tastes of Lizzy T! If you haven’t seen Maddie and Julie’s blog, definitely hop on over and check out their amazing recipes and photography! Look for them here on the first Friday of the month to see what they will be sharing. And look what they have in store for us today~
Hi there! We are Maddie and Julie from Tastes of Lizzy T.
We are so thankful to Debbie, Tracy and Sherri for asking us to be a monthly contributor to their awesome site!
Let us introduce ourselves to you. We are a mother & daughter team who love to spend time together creating in the kitchen. Baking is truly an outlet and a stress reliever for us. Getting messy in the kitchen gives us a time to unwind, learn, create, and laugh at our mistakes together!
Maddie actually started Tastes of Lizzy T as a school midterm project this past April. We realized how much fun sharing our family recipes could be, and we loved interacting with people all over the world who share our love of good food!
Our site focuses on baked goods and breads, but since we can’t live on sweets all the time, we share some of our family dinners, too! In our quest to eat healthier at meal times, we are starting to share some sugar free, gluten free and dairy free recipes. We’ve just got a little bit of everything over there! If you’d like to read more about where the name “Tastes of Lizzy T” came from and also find out some more about our family, see our “About Us” page.
We’d love to have you follow us on any and all social media outlets!
For our first contribution, we had to stay true to our love of peanut butter and chocolate and share with you an amazing cookie recipe. We made these cookies for an end of the summer party and they got rave reviews from adults and kids alike!
They are full of peanut butter, which makes this a very tender cookie that stays soft and will melt in your mouth.
And inside these little beauties? You guessed it…chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups, which seriously may be the most genius creation ever.
And to top it all off…melted chocolate chip drizzle. In our eyes, no cookie is complete without some chocolate drizzle on top.
Is your mouth watering yet? Mine is!
***UPDATE 9/10/13 The baking instructions need to read to bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
Julie and Maddie – thank you SO much for sharing this recipe with us. This reminds me of the old Reese’s TV commercials. “Hey, you got some chocolate in my peanut butter! Well, you got some peanut butter on my chocolate! ” Does anybody else remember that? You sure can’t go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter which is why I will be making these cookies VERY soon!
Have a great day everyone!
It’s a Friday Party with these sites today:
