This year’s NHL Stanley Cup Finals matchup between the Boston Bruins and the Chicago Blackhawks is shaping up as one of the best showdowns in recent years with the best-of-seven series tied at two games apiece heading into Saturday’s Game 5 at the United Center in Chicago.

This Thursday night at American Airlines Arena the 2013 NBA Finals will get underway with Game 1 of a best-of-seven showdown between the Eastern Conference Champion Miami Heat and the Western Conference Champion San Antonio Spurs.

This Saturday both the Eastern and Western Conference Finals get underway with Game 1 of a best-of-seven series. In the East, the No.4 Bruins face the No.1 Penguins while in the West it will be the defending champion Kings taking on the No.1 Blackhawks as the No.4 seed in the conference.

The next Grand Slam tennis event gets underway this weekend on Sunday May 26 as the French Open begins in Paris. The world’s most famous clay court tournament should be as exciting as usual, but most fans and bettors feel only Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Rafael Nadal of Spain have a chance of winning this year’s men’s event.

UFC 160 takes place this Memorial Day weekend at the MGM Grand down in Las Vegas on Saturday May 25. As with most UFC events, this one has another mouthwatering main event with heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez of the U.S. taking on Antonio Silva of Brazil.

The NBA Conference finals began with the San Antonio Spurs thoroughly outclassing a Memphis Grizzlies team that suddenly went from looking like the best team in the playoffs, to resembling a ball club that was just happy to still be playing.
